Introduction
TechWalk LLC (“TechWalk”) reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion and without sending notice to you, so you should review this Privacy Policy periodically. The effective date of this notice and any revised or changed notice may be found on this page, on the bottom left corner of the notice. Any changes will be effective only after the effective date of the change and will not affect any dispute arising prior to the effective date of the change.
If you are an individual user and your employer purchased the online service to which this Privacy Policy applies, all of the information described in this Privacy Policy is subject to your employer’s policies regarding deletion, encryption, export, monitoring, passwords, and retention of data associated with the service.

Information We Collect
TechWalk’s policy is to protect the confidentiality of the individually identifiable information that you provide, and we limit access to that information only to those with a need to know. When you visit this site, TechWalk collects only electronic information from you (such as IP address and cookie information). If you choose to download the app and/or complete certain forms or send us requests, you will be asked to provide the following information: full name, street address, city, state ZIP, phone number, e-mail address, your home’s value and its geolocation Because payment is through Stripe, TechWalk will not see your credit card number or banking information. We collect this information in order to provide the app and the purchased inspection services described in our agreement. We share this information with our affiliates and service providers. You may also elect to share information with the cookie providers.
Computer Information
TechWalk logs your current Internet address (this is usually a temporary address assigned by your Internet service provider when you log in), the type of operating system you are using, and the type of browser software used. In addition, TechWalk may keep track of what portions of this Site you are visiting. TechWalk aggregates this information to help TechWalk improve or create a better experience for users of the Site. For example: TechWalk may upgrade those parts of the Site that are heavily visited.
Our website automatically records website usage information that we analyze statistically to track operational problems, to prevent fraud and to improve the effectiveness, security and integrity of the site. We do not use this information to track or record information about individuals. We will disclose this information to third parties only in aggregate form or as may be required by law. For each page that you visit, we collect and store the following technical information in what is called a web server log file:
- Date and time of access
- URL address of the TechWalk webpage visited
- Internet domain and IP address from which our website was accessed
- Type of browser and operating system used to access our site (if provided by the browser)
- URL address of the referring page (if provided by the browser)
- Completion or success status of the request for a web page or other on-line item
- File size of the webpage visited
The Site uses third-party analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, provided by Google Inc.) to collect and process data (including Personal Information) about your use of the Site, including when you visit the Site, URLs of the websites that you visit prior to visiting the Site and when you visit those websites, and IP addresses assigned to the devices from where you access the Internet. Analytics providers may set and read cookies to collect this data and your web browser will automatically send data collected by those cookies to the analytics providers. The analytics providers use this data to provide TechWalk with reports that TechWalk will use to improve the Site’s structure and content. To prevent this data from being used by Google Analytics, follow the instructions to download and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for each web browser you use. Cookies
A cookie is a piece of information that a web site sends to your computer, which is stored in a file on your computer’s hard drive. A cookie does not tell us your individual identity unless you have chosen to provide it to us. Most cookies expire after a defined period of time.

Information Collected from Other Sources
TechWalk may also acquire personal information from other sources who have the right to provide such information to TechWalk. For example, TechWalk may acquire address information from these sources to validate or update your address or to prevent fraud; demographic and lifestyle information to help TechWalk analyze our business’s performance or improve the Services; and information about your online and offline transactions and purchases to help TechWalk analyze or improve the Services. TechWalk receives personal information, such as your name and email address, from business partners when you participate in joint marketing promotions, events, transactions, or similar interactions with third parties with whom TechWalk has a joint venture or similar business relationship. The categories of sources that provide personal information to TechWalk include consumers themselves; data analytics providers; advertising networks; social networks; data brokers; operating systems and platforms; co-branded ventures; and our affiliated and related entities. TechWalk uses collected information consistent with this Privacy Policy and for the purposes described below.
How We Use Information
TechWalk may collect, use, retain, share, and store personal information collected from or about you for any of the following purposes:
To provide and improve the Services. TechWalk uses your personal information – such as your address and transaction details – to respond to your inquiries and provide you with requested information; to fulfill, validate, manage, deliver, and/or track your orders and transactions; process payments; to process and verify returns and refunds; and to provide and improve our customer service. In addition, TechWalk may use personal information to analyze and improve the performance, usage and operations of our services using internal or external software and tools; to better understand who is using the services and how; and to develop new products or services.
To communicate with you. For example, TechWalk may use your personal information – such as your email address, telephone number, usernames, and other contact information – to respond to your inquiries; to provide you with information about your purchases, transactions, and Services; to conduct surveys, and promotions; to engage with you over Site features; to provide you offers by email, mail, and across other websites, mobile applications, social media, and online services as appropriate; and to otherwise communicate with you as needed or permitted to run TechWalk’s business.
To provide you personalized advertising, marketing, and other information we think may be of interest to you. For example, TechWalk may use your personal information – such as your IP address and device identifiers – to help TechWalk or our service providers deliver interest-based advertising and content that is tailored to your individual interests. This includes advertising networks and data analytics service providers who facilitate customized advertising and marketing services. TechWalk, or our service providers, partners, or affiliates, may provide this content via email, mail, across other websites, mobile applications, social media, or online services, as appropriate. TechWalk also may use your online identifiers to enhance and personalize your online shopping experiences, and to recognize or welcome you to the Sites or Apps. To perform business reporting, analysis, and research. For example, TechWalk may use information about your transaction history with us, your general location, and information about your use of the services to engage in reporting, analytics, and research that helps TechWalk operate or improve our business, including but not limited to metrics measuring the performance of TechWalk’s marketing efforts and advertisements that you may see or receive. TechWalk and our service providers also may combine, supplement, and update the personal information that TechWalk collects from and about you, with information collected offline, across other computers or devices that you may use, and from external sources. TechWalk may also use your information to help understand who is using the Services; to develop new products or services; and to help TechWalk analyze and improve the performance, usage and operations of our services overall. TechWalk will use external software providers and tools to help us perform these analytics.
To prevent fraud, comply with applicable law, protect TechWalk’s business, and other purposes. For example, TechWalk may use your name, contact information, and other personal information to protect the security or integrity of the services and our business; to prevent fraudulent activity; to assist law enforcement; and/or to comply with legal or regulatory obligations. TechWalk may also use and share aggregated or de-identified personal information for any purpose.
Information We Share
TechWalk’s policy is to prohibit the unlawful disclosure of your personal information. TechWalk will not release your name or otherwise publicize the fact that you purchased goods or other information to us unless: (a) you grant TechWalk permission to do so; or (b) TechWalk is requested or required to do so by law. Sale of Information
TechWalk has not sold personal information to third parties for a business or commercial purpose in the preceding 12 months, but has disclosed information to our affiliates and service providers. Disclosure of Information
TechWalk may disclose personally identifiable information you provide to third parties if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) complete the sales transaction, such as providing your shipping information to our carrier; (b) comply with legal process; (c) enforce the Agreement; (d) respond to claims that any information you provide violates the rights of third parties; (e) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of TechWalk, its users and/or the public; or (f) in relation to the sale, assignment, merger, transfer or acquisition of all or substantially all of TechWalk’s assets or shares by a third party.
In addition, TechWalk may share or disclose the personal information TechWalk collects from or about you when (i) TechWalk notifies you or obtains your consent; (ii) when TechWalk’s service providers need such information in order to provide a business service to TechWalk; or (iii) or in any of the following situations:
Affiliates: We share your personal information with affiliates, business units, and/or subsidiaries for business, operational, promotional, marketing, or other purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Service Providers: TechWalk shares your personal information with service providers used to provide business, professional, or technical support functions for TechWalk; that help TechWalk operate its business; and that perform other activities in support of the services or TechWalk’s business. For example, we share your personal information with service providers who assist us with shipping your order; processing and responding to your inquiries; advertising and marketing the Services; or processing your payments. Examples include advertising networks and data analytics service providers TechWalk uses for marketing and advertising services. TechWalk’s service providers are authorized to use your personal information only as instructed by us and for the business services they are providing to TechWalk.
Third parties: TechWalk may also provide personal information to business partners or other third parties with whom TechWalk may jointly offer products or services. In such cases, the business partner or third party’s name will appear with TechWalk’s or one of our brands, and the third party’s use of your personal information will be governed by their privacy policies. We may also share aggregated or de-identified information with third parties without restriction.
Cookies and Pixels: TechWalk may allow certain companies to place tracking technologies like cookies or pixels on some of our websites and apps. Those companies receive information about your interaction with our Services that is associated with your browser or device and may use that data to serve you relevant ads on our Services or others.
Co-branded relationships: Certain areas of our services may be provided to you in association with third parties, such as advertisers or financial institutions that provide or facilitate our services or related offerings. TechWalk may share personal information with these third parties if you participate in a co-branded, co-sponsored service. By participating in these co-branded Services, your personal information may be shared with these third parties in accordance with their privacy policies.
Sales or transfers of businesses or assets: We may sell or purchase assets during the normal course of our business. If another entity acquires TechWalk and/or of any of our affiliates, personal information we have collected about you may be transferred to such entity. In addition, if any bankruptcy or reorganization proceeding is brought by or against TechWalk, such information may be considered an asset of TechWalk’s and may be sold or transferred to third parties.
Legal matters; compliance with the law: TechWalk may disclose personal information collected from or about you to the government, insurance providers, or to other third parties to comply with applicable law; regulations; governmental and quasi-governmental requests and investigations; court orders; subpoenas or other legal process; or to defend ourselves in legal matters. TechWalk may share your personal information with fraud prevention service providers in connection with suspected illegal activity associated with any of the Sites or our business; to protect against harm to the services, to TechWalk, or to others; to detect security incidents; or to defend ourselves in legal matters.
Tracking

Because we link to social media sites, and from time to time may include third-party advertisements, other parties may collect your personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different web sites when you visit this Site.
In addition, TechWalk uses Google AdWords, an online advertising service provided by Google, to serve ads on our behalf across the Internet and sometimes on the Site. Google uses your Internet searches, cookies, and similar identifiers (e.g., pixel tags) to collect information about your visits to the Site and your interaction with our Services to generate targeted advertisements to you on other websites that you visit across the Internet. To opt out of remarketing advertising provided through Google, to customize your ad preferences, or to limit Google’s collection or use this information, visit Google’s Safety Center and Google’s Ad Settings and follow Google’s personalized ad opt-out instructions. Opting out will not affect your use of the Site. Encryption
All data transmitted between your device and the TechWalk Platform is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher).
Data stored in Firebase — including databases, files, and backups — is encrypted at rest using AES-256-bit encryption managed by Google Cloud’s Key Management Service (KMS).
Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel under least-privilege principles and protected by multi-factor authentication. Firebase automatically enforces HTTPS across all connections and secures stored data with end-to-end encryption at the infrastructure level.
While no system can guarantee absolute security, TechWalk follows many industry best practices and Google Cloud security standards to help protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure.
Limitation of Liability
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL TECHWALK BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT OR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES THAT MAY ARISE FROM A CLAIM OF BREACH OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law, or $5, whichever is less.

Retention
TechWalk retains data in accordance with its record retention program. The criteria used to determine retention periods include: (i) the length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you and provide the Sites or Services to you; (ii) whether there is a legal obligation to which we are subject; or (iii) whether retention is advisable in light of our legal position (such as in regard to the enforcement of the Site Terms of Use, applicable statutes of limitations, litigation or regulatory investigations). The time periods listed above are based on the longest period TechWalk needs to keep a category of company records that may contain this category of personal information. When TechWalk no longer needs to retain your personal information, TechWalk promptly destroys it pursuant to the ordinary course of business under our record retention program, unless a legal obligation to continue to retain that data applies. For example, TechWalk may need to retain documents that contain personal information for a longer period to comply with preservation obligations in litigations and government investigations.

You have the right to request that TechWalk disclose to you what information it collects, uses, discloses, and sells. Verification Procedure
To protect your privacy and maintain the security of your information, TechWalk will take steps to verify your identity before processing any request to access, delete, or opt out of the sale of your personal information.
When you submit a request, we will verify your identity through one or more of the following methods:
- Authenticated Account Users
- If you have a registered TechWalk account, we will verify your request through your account login credentials. You may be required to log in to confirm your identity before we process your request.
- Once logged in, you may be asked to re-confirm specific identifying details (such as your email address, phone number, or unique user ID).
- Non-Account or Offline Users
- If you do not have a TechWalk account, or you submit a request outside the app, we will ask you to provide:
- Your full name,
- Your email address and phone number, and
- A brief description of your relationship or recent interaction with TechWalk (for example, “I submitted an inspection request on [date]”).
- We may cross-check this information with existing records to authenticate your request.
- If you do not have a TechWalk account, or you submit a request outside the app, we will ask you to provide:

- If you are submitting a request on behalf of another individual, we require written and signed authorization from the individual, along with your valid identification.
Once your identity (or the identity of the authorized individual) has been verified, we will respond to your request within 45 days, as permitted by law. If additional time is required, we will notify you.
We may authenticate your identity by asking you to verify information we have or we may request information that is reasonable in light of the nature of the personal information requested. If you opt to exercise your privacy rights, TechWalk is required to verify your identity in order to prevent unauthorized access of your data. This may require TechWalk to ask you certain questions to confirm your identity or require you to provide state-issued identification. Requests to exercise these rights may be granted in whole, in part, or not at all, depending on the scope and nature of the request and applicable law. Where required by applicable law, TechWalk will notify you if we reject your request and notify you of the reasons TechWalk is unable to honor your request.
- Access, including confirming whether we are processing personal data concerning you. If TechWalk grants your request, TechWalk will provide you with a copy of the personal information TechWalk maintains about you in the ordinary course of business. This may include what personal information TechWalk collects, uses, or discloses about you. TechWalk may not fulfill some or all of your request to access as permitted by applicable law.
- Correction, taking into account the nature of the personal data and the purposes of the processing of your personal data.
- Deletion. Depending on the scope of your request, TechWalk may refrain from granting your request, as permitted by applicable law. For example, TechWalk may be legally required to retain your information in TechWalk’s business records.
- Data portability, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format. a consumer may exercise this right no more than two times per calendar year.
- Opt-out of the “sale” or “sharing” of their personal information by the business.
TechWalk shall not discriminate against you for exercising any of your above rights.
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request to exercise your rights on your behalf. For your protection, we reserve the right to deny any request from an agent who does not submit proof that they have been authorized to act on your behalf.
TechWalk has no actual knowledge that it sells personal information of minors under age 16.
California’s ‘Shine the Light’ Law
Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, a California resident with whom TechWalk has an established relationship has the right to request information about TechWalk’s disclosure of personal information to affiliated companies or third parties for their direct marketing purposes, within the immediately preceding calendar year, subject to certain exceptions. Children and Minors
TechWalk makes no active effort to collect personal information from children under the age of 18 and does not wish to receive any such information.
Special Terms for Apple Users.
Users of TechWalk Apps acknowledge that they have reviewed and agree to the terms of the online app marketplace from which they have downloaded the App. The following additional terms and conditions apply with respect to any App that TechWalk provides to you designed for use on an Apple iOS-powered mobile device (an “iOS App”):
(a) You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and TechWalk only, and not with Apple, Inc. (“Apple”).
(b) Your use of TechWalk’s iOS App must comply with Apple’s then-current App Store Terms of Service.
(c) TechWalk, and not Apple, is solely responsible for our iOS App and the services and Content available thereon. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance and support services with respect to our iOS App. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to our iOS App.
(d) You agree that TechWalk, and not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to our iOS App or your possession and/or use of our iOS App, including, but not limited to: (i) product liability claims pertaining to our iOS App; (ii) any claim that our iOS App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation, and all such claims are governed solely by these Terms and any law applicable to us as provider of our iOS App.
(e) You agree that TechWalk, and not Apple, shall be responsible, to the extent required by these Terms, for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any third party intellectual property infringement claim related to our iOS App or your possession and use of our iOS App.
(f) You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
(g) You agree to comply with all applicable third party terms of agreement when using our iOS App (e.g., you must not be in violation of your wireless data service terms of agreement when using our iOS App).
(h) You and TechWalk agree that Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries to these Terms as they relate to your license of our iOS App. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as they relate to your license of our iOS App as a third party beneficiary thereof.
